My baby is 2 months old!!!

I can not believe Makayla turned 2 months already. It seriously felt like it was just yesterday that she was just one day old. You hear it all the time that they grow up so fast, and so far it has flown by. She is just the cutest thing. She is such a happy baby. She has been smiling so much and she's on the verge of giggling. I cant wait until she can laugh and talk to me. On Thursday the day she turned 2 months exactly I took her to the doctor for her checkup and she now weighs 10lbs 6oz. Its crazy to know that some babies are born that size, but she is getting so big. She had to get 4 shots which was not fun!! I have never heard those sets of lungs come out of her until then and I was almost in tears with her. I think she was pretty traumatized, but she is great now thank goodness! When she gets hungry she sucks on her fist, but she has now learned how to find her thumb. She has only sucked her thumb about 3 times, but I have a feeling its the beginning to that. She was just too cute
She has been doing so good at tummy time the past few weeks. She is a pretty strong baby

Before I know it she will be one years old and walking and talking and getting into trouble. I cant wait for her to grow up, but...at the same time I really don't want her to. I love how tiny she is and I'm not ready for her to be so big. I love her so much and I tell Rob all the time how it amazes me how we made such a beautiful baby girl. I never knew what she would look like, but she is by far the prettiest girl I have ever seen and I never imagined that we could make a person as beautiful as Makayla is. She is perfect and we could not be happier.

Makayla loves her Daddy!

So last night we were watching dancing with the stars and on the one of the songs rob picked up Makayla and started dancing with her. It was the sweetest thing. Robert is so infatuated with his little girl. It is the best thing to watch him with her when he's talking to her, feeding her and when he's making her smile. She really is such a good baby!

she has these pair of shoes that are about to be too small, but she can only wear them with socks or they fall off, and I thought she looked too cute with her socks knee high wearing them.

She has been sick the past few days with a cold which is no fun! =( Rob was sick a few weeks ago, then he got me sick and then...well Makayla. We were hoping she wouldn't get it, but she did, but she is finally starting to get better, so that makes us all happy. And she has been eating so dang much. She must be growing cuz I barely have enough milk for her so needless to say we've been supplementing a lot in the evenings, but as long as she is happy and full I will do anything for her.

Makayla has a boyfriend!

So today I went over to our friend Lori's house and hung out with her for a while. They just had their baby boy 3 weeks after Makayla was born. It was so nice being able to go through our pregnancy's together and have our babies so close. I can already tell they will be such good friends. It was pretty funny taking these pictures, cuz makayla kept leaning (or falling) =) into Carter and he was pushing her away. Its so nice to have friends that are going through the same things as us at the same time. Ryan and Lori moved here around the same time as us. Ryan is the one to helped Robert get a job with US Airways, and now Ryan works with Rob. They also have Small's sister. Thank you so much lori for helping figure out this whole blog thing! Im blog challenged for sure.

Carter is not having it!

These babies are too precious!

Happy Easter

Makayla could not be looking any cuter today on Easter. I made Easter baskets for Rob and my brother and a separate little one for Makayla. We decided after church that we should take some picture since she looks so dang cute. So we just set her on our couch and put her basket next to her along with her little Easter bunny and we snapped away. She was in such a good mood that we thought that while we were all in our church clothes that we should take family pictures. Thanks to the video camera we bought ourselves for Christmas, we had a stand so we set it up and took a few. It was fun and thankfully Makayla was still in the mood for pictures. It happens too often that when I try to take pic's she gets fussy and wont let me get any good ones of her happy, so maybe cuz it was such a perfect day on this great holiday that she decided to be in a great mood.

she's digging for candy

I cant believe how much she is growing. She is the greatest blessing that we could ever have and I am so so thankful I could be her mom and that she is my daughter. I've waited a long time to have her and couldn't be more happier with my life than right now. Rob has been so amazing and patient with both her and I and I'm the luckiest woman in the world for having him as my companion. I love my family so much!!!

Home Sweet Home

Last week Makayla went on her first plane ride to California. What was supposed to be a 2 day trip for her and I became a week trip. My sister just got engaged, so Makayla and I went there to help her with wedding planning and to look for bridesmaid dresses. Robert stayed in AZ and worked the week, but he eventually came out on the weekend to be with us. He must have missed us too much. =) We had such a great time. My best friends who live in Cali got to meet Makayla, along with my Grandpa, and a bunch of my relatives, and Grandma and Grandpa Miller got to meet her and Aunt Tonya. It was quite a busy week. I've been a little sleep deprived say the least, so it was so nice to have my mom around who took her for a couple nights to help me out, since Rob was not with us.

Thank you Tonya for coming to see us

Thank you Robert and Judy for coming to visit us!

I'm sure she will look back and be so happy to have a picture with her dad, grandpa and great grandpa

We are so glad we got to visit Grandma and Grandpa Miller on our visit

My Grandpa Sorensen was so pleased to meet Makayla

There is just no place like home and being with family. Makayla did great on the plane as well. She didn't cry at all. I'm really glad our first flying experience was such a good one.
