1 Month

Baby boy is 1 month old! I cannot believe it. Wasn't it just yesterday I gave birth to him??!!
I have to say being a mom to 2 kids really isn't all that hard yet. I didn't really know what to expect but he has really been so sweet I haven't felt stressed out at all and Makayla has adjusted really great too. It could have been the fact that I have nannied all of my motherhood life, so I have always had makayla and another kid with me and makayla had to share her time with me early on with other kids but it has been so wonderful.

The past week in a half he has started to get super fussy in the evenings. Some nights he cried for a long time 3-5 hours and some nights 2 hours. We literally try everything to make him happy and other than feeding him for hours on end that is the only thing that will make him happy. Its weird though because even though he cries a lot at night it still hasn't stressed me out to much,

He has been sleeping in his crib in his room since we brought him home from the hospital after the rsv because we had the humidifier going and our room is too big for it to really work and it has been so nice. I always liked having my babies in the bedroom with us (I don't know why) but I have to admit I like having him in his room and nursing him in the chair as opposed to my bed. I get so tired that It is hard to function in the middle of the night when I am in bed but being in his room has helped me feel a different bond with him, and knowing rob doesn't wake up cuz he is not in the room makes me feel good too. He still sleeps 3-4 hours at a time at night, eats and goes right back to sleep for 3-4 hours again switiching from his crib to the swing. I have also been able to get him to take a nap when makayla naps most days which has given me opportunities to take a nap too and that has been really nice and has helped me function and have energy.

Things he loves...
Sleeping
Eating (loves breastfeeding too much where he wants me to be his pacifier)
Pooping
The sling (I carry him in it everyday when going to the park and he feels like he is in my belly all over again
His bouncy seat
Baths (we take one every night together)
His mommy, daddy and sissy

Things he's still getting used to...
The pacifier (each day he will take it more and more)
The car seat

We still are loving every minute with him and our new family. He is such a huge blessing in our life. Oh and we love his awesome hair!! If you havent noticed he's got the best hair ever!
