Too many changes with my baby!

This little boy started crawling!! He took his first crawls a week ago so 6 months 1 week.  He is still not crawling everywhere yet though, which is a relief! But man he sure does look stinking cute doing it!

He also got his fist tooth! Its one of his bottom front teeth, so many changes in 1 day!

Robbie is doing great at eating baby food. I have been pureeing his food.  He loves his rice cereal (took him a while to warm up to it), also he has tried carrots, green beans, broccoli, prunes, apples and banana's.  He does not like the banana's yet.  I mashed it up and I don't think he cared for the consistency.  Its kind of a pain feeding him though, because even though he will open up and eat the food he is constantly trying to look behind him.  I feed him in the bumbo and he tried to push himself out (and he can) along with looking behind, even if I turn him around he keeps looking back. So its a challenge feeding him, but he does like the food.

Teething has been no fun, its definitely changed his personality a bit from really chil and laid back to little fussy, but who can blame him I dont like being in pain either, and he wakes up once or twice a night because he is in pain and most of the time its from his legs moving, he is trying to crawl in his sleep that he ends up getting himself stuck at the edge of the bed and we (and when I say we I mean Rob lol) goes in and scoots him back down and pops a pacifier in his mouth and he goes right back to bed.  Still I cant complain much he is still so sweet and adorable and I'm obsessed with my 2 beautiful kids.

People are always telling me that Makayla looks exactly like me, and I knew we looked alike, but didn't see how we looked "SO" much alike until this picture.

Slow Down

Seriously how did 6 months already go by?! This little light of our life is going to be a year before we know it, even though it feels like he was just born 3 months ago.  Robbie is our sweet amazing little boy and we can not be more blessed to have him as a part of our little family.

Robbie is still my snugly baby, I'll be sad when he stops (but hopefully he never will )

 

He is eating baby foods really good now. We have only introduced rice cereal, applesauce, and green beans, but he can now open his mouth and eat big amounts without having it all come out of his mouth, he likes his little sippy cup (shown in picture) but still working on figuring it all out.  Can you believe he is trying to crawl.  He gets on all fours and rocks back and forth and shoots himself forward...ahh I was hoping he wouldn't start crawling until around 8 months, but looks like we are going to have an early crawler on our hands again, at least he didn't start at 5 months like his sister.  He is also getting pretty good at sitting on his own without support.  Really time needs to slow down because I am not ready for this boy to be doing all of these things.

 

These two still are best of buds and love each other so much.  So grateful that they get along so well and love to play together.  Makes life much easier and brings so much joy to my heart.

- Weighs 13lbs 11oz... 1 percentile

 

- 15th percentile in height

 

- 5th percentile in head circumference

 

He may be tiny, but he is healthy and active and that is what matters the most!

 

* on a side note... I am putting this on here for later when he is older he can read and either be extremely embarrassed, or really proud cuz we all know how boys are, but I would notice other little boys....um pee pee's and noticed that Robbies is not so little, well I asked the doctor today and she said that his is in fact "big" lol and that "dad should be proud" haha oh my I just died laughing so yes he is in fact a little man already! (don't judge that I'm actually posting this I am quite embarrassed)

The day has finally come where my little girl has started preschool.  I remember thinking when she was just a little baby how weird it would be when she is in school and even though this is not kindergarten it is still school and It is still crazy to me how much time has gone by.  I am super excited to see how she grows developmentally throughout the year. Lately it has become apparent to Rob and I that she is a big girl now just by the way she talks and expresses herself.

This is a very exciting time for us all and we are so proud of our little girl or "big" girl as Makayla would have us say.

Summer Fun!

Just a warning there are a ton of pics...

We had my family reunion and Rob's family reunion back to back so we were able to spend almost 2 weeks in Cali and it was crazy fun. We went to Sea World, lounged on the beach, played at the park, went swimming, played games and ate a lots.  It was a very needed trip and so much fun!

this was water from the aftermath of a big rainstorm we had in AZ, she took all her clothes off and loved every second of it. I must be a pretty awesome mom to let her swim in that filth, she had way too much fun I didn't want to ruin a good time

 this was hilarious, Makayla was playing in the water, the next thing we knew she plopped down in the sand face first and didn't move for around 3 min, she almost fell asleep it was so funny!

Love our fun summer vacations.

Robbie's 5 months!

I'm sure I say it every month and I bet I'll say it with every kid, but seriously time really goes by fast! My baby is 5 months old already!! How did this happen?!

Robbie weighs in at a whopping 12lbs 4oz lol okay so maybe that's not whopping hehe.  He is actually officially not even on the charts for weight anymore, he is below so the doc gave me instructions to try to feed him a bottle of either formula or breast milk along with nursing as much as I can, and because I have lots of my milk stored in the freezer I have been giving him a bottle of breast milk in between our nursing feedings and at bedtime after I feed him I give him a bottle of formula. He would never cry after a feeding and was always happy and content afterwards, so I know he wasn't still hungry, but this boy has always loved to eat a lot so these extra feedings are definitely not too much for him =)

other than still being the best baby alive and sleeping amazing for me, he is starting to do fun and new things. 

- Grab at toys and pacifier and bring them to his mouth

- play with his feet

- roll over from back to front and vise versa

- still scooting around but not crawling yet

- Giggle (oh how I LOVE that)

He loves...

- His Sofie giraffe

- Diaper changes, no joke the second we start wiping him he starts giggling and smiling like crazy, it is hilarious I don't think I've ever seen a baby get so happy over a diaper change

- Mommy shaking his booty. lol He gets so happy when I lay him on his back and start shaking his butt =)

- Tickles

- His sister. They love each other sooo much and he is always happy when she is playing with him

Each day Rob and I tell each other how awesome of a baby Robbie is, we can not say it enough of how lucky we are to be his parents (and Makayla's of course).  He is super chill and easy going and happy and we are falling in love with him more and more every day.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July.  It was raining off and on and we went swimming in the rain, took naps and finally went to see big fireworks.  Usually we don't go out because it is too hot and we just do little fireworks in our street, but this year the weather was amazing so we went out and we are so glad we did it was great.
