Makayla is 2 weeks old today! She had a doctors appointment this morning to make sure she is gaining the proper weight. At her last appointment when she was only a couple days old she weighed 7lbs 10oz, and today she is 7lbs 15oz. I was having some problems nursing her but for the past few days things have been going great and she is slowly and steadily gaining weight. The doctor wants her to go back and get checked again on Friday. If she doesn't gain an ounce a day, I will need to supplement formula after every time I nurse her, but I have a feeling she will gain the weight and we wont need to, but if I have to, I'll be totally fine with it, as long as she is healthy and happy. Makayla is so dang cute! she is starting to get her own characteristics. She loves to be held, especially right when its bedtime. She sleeps great all day, but night time comes around and she can have a full belly and be totally ready for bed, but once we put her down she will not have it. She just wants to be snuggled, so rob and I spend a few hours cuddling her, then try putting her down and then we have to pick her right back up, cuz she just wants to be held. Its a little frustrating at times, especially for Rob, since he has to get up and go to work, but she is our baby girl and we do whatever it takes for her to be comfy and happy. She was sleeping for 5 hours every night in the beginning, but now she sleeps for 3 to 4 hours and she wakes up ready to eat. It will be nice when she can sleep 5 hours again through the night, so we can all get more rest. But we are having so much fun with her and loving her more and more every day. She cant get any cuter!!
