This past month...

Makayla has become even more active than ever! She never slows down!

Auntie Tonya came out to visit us! We had a blast having her here. Makayla has become very shy around people so it took her a while to warm up to her. She would hide her face every time Tonya looked at her. By the end of the day she was able to hold Makayla, but the next day it started all over again, it was pretty funny and cute! and Makayla and I went to San Diego again! She had so much fun being with Grandma and Grandpa.

She just gets prettier and prettier. I'm so glad those bright beautiful blue eyes aren't fading!

Going, Going, Going!

Our little beauty just turned 6 months! Time is seriously flying by. She had her check up at the doctor and now weighs 14lbs 9oz. She may be little and petite for her age, but she has the biggest personality and has become very vocal lately. =) I don't think its possible to ever get bored with her around
She started crawling at 5 months 1 week and since then has not stopped. 1 week after she started crawling she started pulling herself up on things like chairs, couches, tables, walls, pretty much EVERYTHING! She has also learned how to climb the stairs. She (with us right by her side) climbed the first 9 stairs of our stairwell on her own. I have to keep my eyes on her at all times cuz she has snuck to the stairs and climbed a few without me looking and that has freaked me out so now its time for the gate, I just cant believe how crazy she is. She is so young to be doing all this, but I knew when she was in my belly that she would be a very active, fiesty little girl.

She loves playing with her toys and her friends. We have a couple neighbors that have little girls Makayla's age, and its so fun getting them together to play. She really is one of a kind and we love her to pieces!

California Love

Robs family goes to Carlsbad every year and has a little family reunion with all his relatives. We haven't been able to go the past 2 years, so it was great that we could make it this year. It was a blast! Too long goes by that all the family gets together. I have been able to go home many many times these past few months, but haven't gone to the beach and man do I miss it. We love living in AZ, but it doesn't compare to living so close to the beach. My whole life I've grown up so close and have been able to go whenever I wanted, and after spending a week there at the beach, i've come to realize I want to live there again so bad. I know its just wishful thinking, since its a little too expensive to live, but I'm determined to live there again someday. =) All in all we had a wonderful time with the family. Makayla got to put her feet in the ocean for the first time and got to do some more swimming that she loves. She also this past week has learned how to crawl. Its crazy the past month she has been swaying back and fourth, but at 5 months and 1 week she now can move her hands with her legs. We also had to move her crib mattress lower, since she can now pull herself up to stand. I found her in her crib almost falling out cuz she had pulled herself up over and was almost hanging off. She is so full of energy, and it may be a lot sometimes, but i love it and she's our little crazy Makayla us at the Padres game. They won!

Summer Lovin Having A Blast...Summer Lovin Happend So Fast

This summer has been so much fun. I've got to visit a lot of people and do a bunch of things before I went back to work. My one and only little sister was married on June 13Th and it was a blast. She looked gorgeous and everything just fell into place. Makayla got to try her first foods and just recently she has tried green beans and she actually eats it. I'm not so sure if she really likes it, but at least she doesn't spit it out like the rice cereal. Makayla also went swimming for the first time on her first big holiday which was a blast. This summer has been one of the best summers we've ever had and its because we have our beautiful little baby in our lives. Things may get a little tough sometimes and its much more work than it used to be but looking at makayla's sweet face makes all the hard times very much worth it.

having too much fun at my sisters wedding which ultimately ended with everyone dancing on the dance floor for literally 3 hours straight. It was such a great night.

my sexy husband who is the best and took care of cranky makayla all night. I love you babe!

grandma Miller came out to help me when times got rough. She's amazing and she helped me make curtains and some pillows for our front room. There's nothing Judy cant do. Thank you so much for all the support Judy we're all so grateful you came out. Oh and I had to add the two pics at the bottom of grandma making a silly face and mnm, they're priceless

4th of July Fun!

I love holidays! We went to one of our friends house and went swimming and barbecued and watched a movie. It was so much fun! Makayla went swimming for the first time in a pool and she absolutely loved it. She was so happy, she probably could have stayed in the pool all night if we didn't take her out. Its always so great to get together with friends and have fun. I found a red white and blue outfit that we had in her closet and of course had to put it on her

Relaxin

Today we've just been taking it easy and relaxing as a family. I love capturing every moment I can (when our stupid camera works with us). These are the moments I cherish and love Its not everyday Makayla will snuggle, so it was so nice falling asleep with her

We are going to be in big trouble in our future. She is way too gorgeous! I don't know how we are going to keep the boys away.

So Many Changes!!!

So today Makayla turned 4 months old! Time is really flying by. We took her to the doctor and she now weighs 13 lbs 2 oz and she is 25 in a half inches long. She is in the 85th percentile for her length. I knew she was going to be a tall girl!! Just this week she has changed so dramatically.

1. She can grab her toys and stick them straight in her mouth
2. she can take her pacifier our of her mouth and on occasion she can put it right back in.
3.she grabs for people faces. She tries to touch our nose, eyes and mouth.
4.She will watch baby Einstein movies. Well only half, but hey that's a start.
5.She is much more alert when we hold her she can support herself pretty dang good.
6.she rolls over constantly. The second we put her on her back, she flips over to her belly
7.she can seriously almost crawl. She gets her knees and arms up, but cant really get the motion down yet. She will either just roll over on her side or she will shoot herself forward, but we are guessing she'll be crawling here in the next couple weeks!
8. Today the doc said we can start feeding her rice cereal!! yay so we had so much fun feeding her cereal for the first time.

Our baby is growing up and changing so much! She's a little confused if she likes it or not, but it was fun watching her. And look at her gorgeous eyes! uh I cant get enough of her!

When we went to Cali, my mom bought a Johnny Jumper and she really liked it. She mainly twirled in it, but she still had a pretty good time in it as long as someone was around to watch her. If no one is around her nothing is fun to her.
